BIOMETRIC SECURITY AND TRUSTED TERMINAL ESTABLISH PARTNERSHIP

A Partnership to deliver integrated solutions that address the challenges of authenticating both documents and their holders.

Biometrics 2006, LONDON, UK - 27th November 2006

Biometric Security Limited, the leader in voice-based biometric verification security and identity management, today announced a partnership with Trusted Terminal Limited (TTL), an innovative provider of document authentication solutions. The two companies will collaborate on projects that bring together dedicated document reader technology and Biometric Security's voice verification platform, VoiceVault

The Verification Challenge.

In these times of heightened security and identity theft concerns, governments and private institutions (that are legally required to verify identity) are seeking new ways to reduce crime, reinforce border controls, confirm identity and ensure the authenticity of the person presenting verification documentation. To achieve this, key documents like passports and driving licences must be secure.

These challenges are made more critical by the mountain of new legislation that companies must now comply with that directly relate to identity verification, including immigration rules; new money laundering regulations; as well as the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Terrorism Acts to name but a few in the United Kingdom alone. However, it is vital that such solutions are respectful of Human Rights and Data Protection legislation.

Biometric Security and Trusted Terminal will collaborate on projects that deliver innovative document authentication solutions that deal with the verification challenge. The partners will offer solutions that link an individual's 'voiceprint' with a specific document. Both the document and its holder can then be authenticated.

Terminal explained: "With this new partnership, Biometric and TTL will create a solution that will be able to identify 99 per cent of all counterfeit or forged documents, and authenticate the person presenting the document. This will deliver greater security for individuals, companies and countries. And, it will also speed up the cost and improve the efficiency of identity verification without jeopardising privacy.

Biometric Security said 'We are excited about this new partnership with Trusted Terminal. Authenticating documents that are relied on to establish a person's identity is a major challenge for many businesses. The combination of Trusted Terminal and VoiceVault creates a unique identity verification platform that can protect both businesses and consumers.'
